*We encourage group bookings as our venue is perfect for any special occasion and our chefs can cater for large groups.

*Opportunity for midweek group lunch bookings, along with any of you who would like to enjoy some great lunch specials on Thurs or Fri! Specials change each week. Desserts anytime.

*Current opening times: Wed 4pm for drinks & dinner. Thurs – Sunday 11.30am until late for lunch, dinner & drinks in between.

Another excellent experience at Barney’s to make our holiday. A trip to the Grampians is not complete without a meal at Barney’s! Definitely worth the short and pleasant drive just out of Halls Gap to get to. Amazing service as always and a lovely friendly vibe. Delicious and generous servings enjoyed by all. Best...M chicken parmigiana in the state in my opinion and the desserts are to die for. A great way to finish off an active Grampians trip. Looking forward to our next visit when we’re back next year.

Good food and atmosphere Dropped in while travelling nearby for a weekend pub lunch. Both food and service were great. Sat out the back overlooking the grass with lots of kangaroos.

Barneys Bar & Bistro Pomonal This is our go to place for lunch when we are in HallsGap. The Owners are fantastic friendly people & all staff are friendly & helpful & as for the Chefs in the kitchen they are simply amazing. The food never disappoints the ambiance is...M great and the vibe wonderful we absolutely love it come check it out you won’t be disappointed we always rate it 10 out of 10 Cheers Sandra

Great food and ambience Last night we had dinner at Barney's and it was a very good experience. The service was excellent. My husband had a parma Greek style and told me that it was the best he had eaten . I am fructose intolerant and advised of that...M when i did the booking. When we arrived they were already prepared and i noticed how knowledgeable they were on the subject. They modified the salmon dish for me and it was really nice and tasty. We would strongly recommend this restaurant.

Great place for a fantastic meal! THis was the first time ALL 6 of us completely cleared our plates - that says it all, right? Great food, fantastic atmosphere, quicky surroundings - would go again!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good meals! Whilst staying in Halls Gap we were on the search for somewhere to book dinner on a Saturday night. We weren't having much luck with availability however came across Barney's on the map, sitting just out of Halls Gap at Pomonal - not too much...M of a drive. The staff were wonderful and managed to squeeze us in which was appreciated. So glad we made the journey out there as was a great night. Staff were wonderful and even though they were fully booked they still were very attentive throughout the night. Upon arrival you are greeted by a big shed and not really sure what to expect - it is a great country pub style and I can see why it is popular with tourists and locals alike. The menu has a bit of everything so you should be able to find something to suit your taste. Meals were lovely, well priced and everything came out relatively quickly. After dinner we went outside and sat in the beer garden for a couple of drinks, watching the beautiful sunset over the mountains. Was a great finish to the night.

Different Can Be Good. A big shed with no draught beer. But wait! Barney’s has a wide range of beer, wine and spirits. It also has excellent food. We visited for lunch and enjoyed the Otway pork and lamb strap. No your normal pub but better than most.

Meals were all great, and came out quickly. Friendly staff and good service even though it was busy, highly recommend if your in the area!

We went there on Saturday night for dinner there was 8 of us in our family group the food and the service was outstanding.The Chef came out to our table and asked himself how things where and if we wanted any thing else cooked. If your are in the area pop in and get lunch or dinner from there A1. Next time we go and stay in the area we will be back . Thankyou.

Just had a very enjoyable lunch and afternoon at Barney's. We always love it there and seem to make a habit of being last to leave. The food was delicious. We all had something different., steak, barra, chicken snitzel, satay chicken and the roo. It was all cooked to perfection, plentiful and served fresh and hot, especially on such a cold miserable. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The venue was packed, the surrounds delightfully rustic and inviting. Thanks for letting us stay as long as we did. Will be back again.
